In 2001 we built a concept agency out of three complimentary companies, bringing the best of east and west with scale to the Japan Advertising market. Since then we have been foreign agency challengers and leaders, helping our clients build their business.

We are dedicated to building an organization bringing advertising, consumer strategy, CRM, social strategy, content publishing, media, data analytics, UI/UX design, shopper and experiential events together. Unlike many agencies in Japan, we have all these expertise sitting side by side at beacon, where there are no walls between disciplines to get in the way of the best creative solutions.


Masahiko Hibi

Chairman and Representative Director

Hibi-san joined Dentsu Inc. in 1982. During his career at Dentsu, he was stationed more than 10 years in Europe, to support business development of many clients. During his assignment in Paris, he was also responsible for all Japanese client management in HDM Europe which was a former joint venture company with Y&R and Eurocom. In 1994, after returning to Japan, he became a division director with responsibilities for account management. He was appointed Executive Officer in April 2015, being responsible for account management and global business.

Concurrently, he has also assumed responsibilities in global business for the expansion of Dentsu’s overseas business activities.

Floriane Tripolino

Managing Director and Representative Director

After graduating CELSA – Paris Sorbonne University, Floriane started her career at BBDO in 1997 and worked in different agency networks including Y&R, JWT and Publicis.

In August 2014, she joined Publicis Worldwide as Executive Vice President, Head of Global Clients – APAC. She closely worked for Global Brands like Citibank, AXA, Sanofi, L’Oreal, Heineken and especially P&G, with one goal in mind: to make these prestigious Brands relevant in an Asian environment.

In January 2017, she was appointed Managing Director of Publicis One Japan and in March 2017 Representative Director of beacon.

Ricardo Roces

Chief Financial Officer

Ricardo began his career in New York where he worked as an accountant and auditor in new media and entertainment. He joined Masius, part of Publicis Groupe, as Business Manager in 2004, and later assumed the role of global controller of MSLGROUP in 2008. He was appointed MSLGROUP Asia CFO in 2011, based in Singapore, where helped manage the PR and Experiential agencies of Publicis Groupe. He was appointed in his current role at beacon in February 2016.

Jon King

Executive Creative Director

Jon started his career in Seattle, creating digital, retail and branding campaigns for small start-ups as well as multi-nationals like Microsoft and Starbucks. He joined the Leo Burnett Network in 2002 and led creative teams in Chicago and Rome before assuming his current position in Tokyo. Always on the lookout for the next creative opportunity, he and his teams have created impactful and engaging work for Mini, P&G, McDonald’s, Philip Morris, Lenovo, Coleman, Smirnoff and Nike. As Executive Creative Director, Jon oversees the creative output of the entire agency with one simple-yet-ever-inspiring philosophy: may the best idea win.

Jon’s work has been awarded at major creative shows including Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Spikes Asia, Adfest, AdStars, New York Festivals, Dentsu Advertising Award and the CODE Award Japan. He has judged international shows, including SPIKES ASIA and ADFEST.

Sosuke Koyama

Executive Planning Director

A Strategic Planner for over 20 years, Sosuke has worked in multiple countries, cultures and agencies including Japan, the United States, China and Singapore. His past clients include BMW, adidas, Purina, Sony, Unilever (Axe), Citibank, Diageo, Starbucks, Coca Cola, Nikon, Volkswagen, PayPal, Hilton, HP and Nestle at agencies such as W+K, Fallon, BBH and TBWA. He joined beacon as Executive Planning Director in August 2014.

Neil Hudspeth

Chief Experience Officer

Neil has spent over twenty years in Asia Pacific, and his career includes owning and leading Digital, Brand and Integrated Agencies across four continents. Passionate about the transformative power digital delivers to shape customer experiences, in 1995, he established a leading digital agency in London (which he subsequently sold). He was then Managing Director of a global brand consultancy in London for eight years before joining a WPP Brand Consultancy as CEO APAC based in Shanghai, where he lived for three and a half years. He then joined the Leo Burnett Group in Singapore in 2010 as the APAC Chief Digital Officer, before moving up to Tokyo with beacon as CXO in 2016.

Sayuri Kato

Executive HR Director

After working as a foreign exchange and financial advisor for a major financial institute, Kato-san began her HR career by joining an HR consulting group working with one of the big 4 accounting firms. Gaining further HR experience working with other clients, she then became the Head of HR for a global management consulting firm. She was appointed to her current position in August 2008.

Beacon is the agency that represents the key Publicis Groupe entities in Japan. Originally created in 2001 from the Japan offices of D’Arcy and Leo Burnett with a partnership from Dentsu. Now we house most of the Groupe agencies and their expertise under one roof.
